The most amazing thing happened tonight when two ladies decided to walk across the pitch mid way in the first half to get to their indoor carpet bowls match. You literally couldn’t write it.
First half with no goals, few chances and a stalemate saw Henley giving away 2 sloppy errors that gave Woodbridge the upper hand early in the second half. Then only to kill the game off with a 3rd goal on 75 minutes.
Fitness, young legs and squad depth was the difference in the 2 sides tonight a long with their quality and professionalism.
Liam scopes, Glenn Snell and their team deserved the win and they will go on to do very well in their league this year.
With 6 missing and still another 6 yet to come in this season we can take the positives, with more minutes in the bank and some great performances from captain Gussy white, Brett crisp, Shane Wardley, Reece Golding & both the goalkeepers.
This coming Saturday we welcome Capel to the community centre – 2pm kick off with our penultimate pre-season friendly.
