Brilliant from the lads 

Narrow 1-0 defeat against a well organised, higher opposition side.  A complete makeshift side with some (experienced) older players and some 16 year old young men that showed amazing promise, grit & determination.

I contacted some mates, friends from football and even brought a keeper out of retirement to all come together to take 18 players away to Framlingham where last season the club lost 9-0.

I was more than happy with how we played, the chances we created and the smiles on the players faces was extremely welcoming. The fact that even Framlingham said themselves it was the biggest test they’d come across this pre-season to date after facing Kesgrave & Cops which they’d walked away 4-0 & 5-1 winners… was a credit to all involved. 

Plenty of fitness and well needed minutes all in the bank for our first pre-season fixture after only 2 training sessions. 

Tuesday we look forward to welcoming a dear friend in Liam Scopes and Woodbridge at home in our second pre-season friendly where more players will come in alongside an already exciting squad to build for this coming season…
