A decent travelling support boosted the attendance to 58, who saw a hard fought contest, between two fully committed sides, end in a goalless draw.

Henley started smartly, a good passing move ending with Hooley shooting over the bar, another good attack saw Watling’s strike hit the foot of the post after 9 minutes as Henley dominated early proceedings. At the other end, Wickham saw a controversial header cleared off the line by Storey, whilst stand in keeper Dixon lay injured. Wickham had a good period of pressure, forcing a series of corners, but failed to capitalise.

Henley were on the attack again on 28 minutes, Wharton-Richardson breaking through, his shot well saved by the Wickham keeper, Leaving the score 0-0 at the break.

Wickham had a half chance early in the 2nd half, but the lobbed effort landed on the roof of the net, Henley came close again on 54 minutes Barnard ghosting round the back to meet Hooley’s cross, but going narrowly wide. Wickham again had a decent chance on 78 minutes, but their impressive number 3 shot wide. Henley looked to have broken through in the final minute, but Vince was very harshly adjudged to have fouled the defender in winning possession. Leaving the match finishing 0-0.
