These past weeks have seen me reassess my future as manager of Henley Athletic Ladies. My decision has not been taken lightly, but reluctantly I will be stepping down from the managerial role.
Over the past 2 years, I have taken so much pride from my involvement with the Ladies team. It was a great pleasure to assist alongside Gary French for the 19-20 season, then to take the reins myself for the 20-21 season.
It’s not been the easiest of journeys, with the disruption of covid 19 amongst other issues, however, I have given 100% throughout and have wanted nothing more than the best for the team.
I will be continuing my role at the club, both, on the committee and as the grounds keeper, and will also offer my help in any way possible for the ladies team, continuing to support both Clare and the girls alike.
I must say a massive thank you to Clare Bevan for her ongoing efforts in helping me, as well as the team, which at times have gone under the radar.
In closing, I wish Henley athletic ladies the best of luck for the 21-22 season and many more seasons to come and for the next management/ coaching team to be welcomed into the club.
